Feedback from our Pitch

The feedback we gained from presenting and pitching our ideas was mostly positive, it seems that our presentation gave the class a clear understanding as to what type of video we are going to do. And also gave us an incentive on the making of our video with what to include and what to not include. We will need to think about the preparation of our music video before we begin making it, this means we need to have a look at the things we will be needing such as Lighting, location and what instruments to include.

Looking at the feedback, all of the class new exactly what genre we are doing. Most put Rock/Electronic and others put just Rock, it is rock but they're not a generic sounding rock band. We also got feedback from what the style of the music video we are doing was, most of the class understood. I can see this as the feedback says "Energetic, Faced Paced, Loud" this is hopefully what our music video will turn our like and we want these to be the terms to describe our video, if they are we know that we are successful with the making of the video.

Furthermore, we asked a question as to what the class thought our target audience would be for our music video, the feedback we were given was what we are aiming for, "Mainly Male, aged 16-25, young adults and teenagers, hardcore gig goers". This is quite a good description of the target audience we picked, it would be suitable for teenagers and adolescents because many of them favour that type of music and genre and therefore wouldn't be appropriate for a middle aged man. The age range is also close as to what we would like it to be I'd say 16-25 year olds would enjoy it because of it's energetic sounds and fast paced beats.

A description to what our video will be like was given from our feedback, the class had the idea that it'd be a performance based music video. I know this as the feedback says "A performance based video with quick cuts and bright lighting to make it energetic, lively, manic and wild" this is what we want it to be like, although we are going to need to borrow or hire some lightening to give it these effects.

We wanted the class to give us an idea of the problems that we will face while making the music video in order to make it the best possible video that we can. Our feedback suggested the following: "You need to find a good location to film the video possibly a gig venue of some sort". We do have a place that we could use but it might be quite tight for space and therefore might need to hire a bigger one. Another piece of feedback that was given and need to think about whilst making the music video is Lip synching the fast lyrics along with the instrumentals.

The last question we asked the class was if they would watch it or not, most of the class said No as it was their favoured type of music genre and therefore was not their style although some thought having a video purely based on performance was a good idea. Others said they would watch our video due to it being their preferred music genre and that they would enjoy it.
