We have decided to call our band 'Mothership.' The word Mothership is thought to be, for example, in a space battle, the biggest and most brutal ship to fight. Therefore our band wants to make powerful, assertive songs with high energy music videos.
Formation and members
'Mothership are an alternative rock/metal band from Leicester, England. They formed in 2011 and after touring vigorously for the last year have gained an underground fan base. They will be releasing their first single and music video soon. The band are fronted by Reynold Percy, who sings and plays the synths, with Stuart Wessex on guitar. Tom Mason plays the bass, and Callum Hardy completes the band on the drums.
Debut single
Mothership set up a twitter feed on the 5th of July 2012, in which the bio stated a new music video was coming soon. On July 7th 2012 they left a tweet 'Sitting down and going through ideas for our first video. Can't wait to show you!' As of now the song is untitled, but rumours suggest it may be one of live favourites 'Zzzonked' 'Rise and Shine' or 'The Tables Have Turned'
