How To Make Our Video Energetic

As we have no budget to make our video, it will be hard for us to acquire a crowd or things like this to re create energy, however there are other ways of conveying energy into videos, without a crowd going mad. Fast cut shots will show the pace and energy of the song, if these are fast enough, it will give a sense of mayhem, as the camera is almost 'out of control' where as if cuts were slow, it wouldn't have the same feel, and wouldn't look energetic. As well as this, the band should be playing and hitting their instruments hard, which means we will have to have instrument players who are confident on the instruments and know how to play, because they will know how to hold a guitar, and know how to move around with it, where as those who don'tplay the instrument, will not know how to do this, and it will look unnatural and not convey energy into the video at all. Close ups of each different instrument will also show energy, because it will show that there is a lot going on in the room, rather than just focusing on the singer, as that would make it dull and not show that the rest of the band are in to the music as well, and shows energy. Our location is also a very small room, and so it will be very claustraphobic, and packed, this will give a 'sweaty' feel, which is very 'rock n' roll' and will show the energy of the band and will be conveyed into the video.

The video for Hail Destroyer by Cancer Bats is a good example of a music video that shows energy within a bands live performance, without using a crowd, and we want to immitate that energy.
